Dive into the history

Diamonds are valued as the superior gem in comparison to others, because of their clarity, transparency and their unmatched hardness. The discovery of the Eureka diamond in South Africa 140 years ago marked a transformative moment for both the diamond industry and the legislation of the country.  South Africa is one of the top ten diamond-producing countries in the world and has played a pivotal role in creating the Kimberley Process (KP) which is an initiative to stop the trading of conflict diamonds in the industry.

Diamond Formation

Diamonds are formed deep underground over millions of years, after being exposed to intense pressure and heat from the depths of earth. The formation of diamonds originates from carbon atoms arranged in a crystal lattice structure. As magma flows transport these carbon atoms closer to the Earth’s surface, they gradually solidify and can be mined. During the transformative process, they can obtain flaws, which contribute to their appeal and uniqueness. They are the hardest substance on earth with magnificent durability to resist scratching or any damage. Their special qualities, including their flaws, provide the unique appeal people love. This is why they are perfect for everyday wear for generations to come.

By choosing natural diamonds, you contribute to a sustainable and responsible industry, positively impacting the world. Diamonds also hold a timeless elegance and a considerable amount of emotional significance. We recommend that you embark on a dazzling adventure with our Diamond Excursion in South Africa.
