Situated on the southern border of Kenya, near the Tsavo West National Park, the sanctuary offers stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Covering an area of 113 square kilometers and sitting at an elevation of 1,200 meters above sea level, the sanctuary provides a diverse and rich environment for both wildlife and visitors to enjoy.

The Taita Hills is home to a diverse range of wildlife, with more than 50 different mammal species residing there: elephants, zebras, cape buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and various types of antelope. The sanctuary boasts an impressive bird population, with over 390 species calling it home.
